What time does the Guatapé tour leave?
Pickup at El Poblado and Laureles hotels starts at 7:00 am. Return to Medellín is around 5:00–5:30 pm.

The drive takes about 1h30 on the highway. The full tour lasts 8 to 10 hours.
Do I have to pay to climb Piedra del Peñol?
No, the climb is entirely optional. If you'd rather not climb, you can stay at the base enjoying the view, having a refreshing drink, or browsing nearby craft shops.
What time do you pick us up and what time do we get back?
Pickup usually starts early in the morning (around 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.) and we'll be back in Medellín between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., depending on traffic.
What kind of clothing should I bring?
We recommend very comfortable clothing, sneakers (especially if you plan to climb the rock), sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and a light jacket, as the weather can change in the afternoon.
How hard is it to climb Piedra del Peñol?
It's 740 steps with rest spots along the way. Most people in decent physical shape complete it in 20–30 minutes. It's not suitable for people with severe mobility limitations.
What happens if it rains?
The tour still runs in light rain. If there's a severe weather alert, we'll notify you in advance and arrange a free reschedule.
